Drummer Farms Gazette

Bimonthly Vol. VIII No. 1 February 2013

Pet Reminder

Please remember that pets are not permitted in the common areas without a leash. All dogs must be licensed and inoculated, as required by law. Pets should be walked along the wooded areas (at the outside perimeter) of the property to defecate and urinate. In case of an accident, it is the dog owner's responsibility to scoop up their dog's droppings and dispose of the waste in a proper receptacle.

Additionally, please be considerate of your neighbors and do not allow your dog to bark incessantly. We appreciate your cooperation.

Community Directory & Website Reminder

If you have not already done so, we encourage unit owners to register and set up an account on the Drummer Farms website. You can access the website by going to www.alpinemanagement.com and clicking on the "Alpine's Community Home Owners: Click here to Sign In…" tab. Once you are registered you will be able to add your information to the community directory. We hope that all owners will register so that we have a complete community directory.

This website will allow you to view your account ledger; make online payments through e-check or by credit card; view documents such as current financials, photos and calendar events; post classified ads; and get answers to frequently asked questions.

If you still need any assistance creating your account, please contact:
Nancy Bosell at nab@alpinemanagement.com.

Toilet & Washer Rebates

The town of Acton is offering rebates to owners who install more water efficient clothes washers and toilets. We encourage you to take advantage of this offer. Not only will you get a rebate, you will help lower the water bills for the association. You can visit the town of Acton's water website at www.actonwater.com for more information.

Snow Plowing Reminder

Residents and their guests must move vehicles during the plowing operation. Please move your car to a newly plowed area after each snowstorm so the contractor can plow and clear all sections of the parking lot.

If you plan to be away during the storm, you must make arrangements for your vehicles, either by removing them from the property or by leaving keys with a neighbor who is willing to clear off your vehicles and move them for you.

Property Management Plus will be clearing parking spaces up to four hours after the completion of the storm. When a vehicle is not moved during the plowing operation, it creates an extra burden for the contractor, which in turn can cost the Association additional money.

The trash dumpsters at Drummer Farms are to be used for bagged household trash only. Please toss trash toward the back of the dumpster. Often the front of the dumpster is overflowing while the back half is empty. You can help prevent the overflowing of the dumpsters by breaking up large items before discarding them. We realize the dumpsters are sometimes used by people that are not residents of Drummer Farms. We have thought about issuing stickers to residents or adding cameras at the dumpsters but decided against both ideas since even if we had the license plate of someone that was dumping illegally, we still could not fine them. We could report them to the police, but again they may not take action. Any suggestions to deter non-residents' use are welcome.
