Recycling Reminders

Please read the bins to know what is acceptable and what is not. Many unacceptable items are being tossed into the recycling bins.

Below are some basic guidelines on Recycling Do's & Don'ts:

Paper/Cardboard: Recycle junk mail, newspapers, office paper, telephone books, cereal boxes, packing boxes, magazines.
Preparation: Flatten all boxes. Bag any paper that is shredded. Remove wax paper liners from boxes.
NO used paper towels or tissues, wet or dirty paper or cardboard, waxed paper/boxes, milk cartons.

Glass: Recycle clear, green and brown glass bottles and jars.
Preparation: Rinse and discard lids.
NO Light bulbs, window glass, mirrors, cookware or other colors of glass.

Metal: Recycle steel and aluminum cans and lids.
Preparation Rinse to remove food residue.
NO Pots and pans.

Plastics: Recycle plastic bottles/jugs for milk, soda, detergents, etc.
Preparation: Rinse and discard lids.
NO Plastic bags should not be thrown into the recycling bins at any time (take to grocery stores to recycle), yogurt cups and margarine tubs.

Dumpster Reminder

Here are a few reminders about our dumpster use:
1. Trash -- throw it away.
2. Do not leave trash outside the bins thinking somebody might want it –they don’t.
3. Tie trash bags securely, consider double bagging in the summer months.
4. Collapse and flatten corrugated cartons and other boxes.
5. Throw trash as far back in the dumpster as you can.
6. Close dumpster doors.

Painting and Carpentry

The Board of Trustees hired A&H Painting to complete the replacement of rotted wood and perform the painting of Buildings A, D and L. The painting will begin after the carpentry work is completed.

Lease Reminder

Investor owners should remember to send a copy of their lease to Alpine.

It is also important that the owners have their tenant(s) sign an acknowledgement form stating that they have received a copy of the Drummer Farms rules and regulations.

Pest Control

Marlboro Pest Control has been contracted to spray the exterior of all foundations and decks in the spring and fall for carpenter ants. The spring application has been completed.

If you continue to have issues with carpenter ants, please notify Alpine. The contract includes unlimited callbacks during the contract period for re-treatment at no additional charge to the Association

Pest control applications inside of any unit are the responsibility of the unit owner.

Doggy Duty

A reminder to dog owners: Please carry a plastic bag with you at all times when walking your dog. Failure to clean up after your dog will result in a $25 fine per incident. In addition, please remember that dogs must be on a leash at all times when outside of your unit. Please refrain from opening your door at night to allow your dog to run out and relieve itself on the lawn.
